Ventrilo 3.0 Released Tomorrow!

Ventrilo will release version 3.0 tomorrow, November 14th. FusionVoice has been preparing for this release for several weeks, and we will begin upgrading servers to the new version at noon.

Please be patient as we make this transition – the upgrade will require a short downtime while servers are migrated to the latest version. Once your server has been updated you will no longer be able to connect with your old 2.3 Ventrilo client.

New Servers, New Locations, New WebSite and Control Panel

It’s been a long time since the last update, but for a good reason. As FusionVoice enters its 4th year of selling Ventrilo servers and 6th year as a webhost, we have been very busy expanding and planning new features for the months ahead. Soon you will see many changes, not only in the way FusionVoice looks, but in the way we function as Service Provider. The pipeline is packed with many new features for our customers.

Soon, FusionVoice will be adding new servers in California. This location has been sold out off and on over the last 3 months, due to higher than usual demand. Pat has been looking for additional locations that fit our high standards, and will be implementing new servers within the next week, and hope to have them on location and live in 2 weeks. FusionVoice is also in the middle of testing some excellent new locations for our Ventrilo servers. Before any clients are set up on the servers we put them to the test with the friends and family members of FusionVoice employees. You can expect to see at least one new location pop up in the next month.

So what does the future hold for FusionVoice and our clients? Shortly, Peter will begin to design our new website. It has been a while since FusionVoice has received a face lift, and we are planning on making this website the best design we have had to date. If you have any website features or sections you would like to see added feel free to email sales@fusionvoice.com.

Some clients have noticed the emergence of a new face at FusionVoice. Daniel has been with us for quite a while, however he is beginning to step into a more visible role. Daniel will start the planning phase of our new control panel. Since we will be starting with a blank slate and implementing so many new features we are not accepting feature requests at this point. Once the control panel has gone through beta testing with select clients and deployed we will have a way to request a feature for additions to the next version. Since Daniel will be starting fresh, and taking into account the the large amount of customers FusionVoice has, this control panel is several months out. We have started planning for a Zero down time migration to the new control panel, as this was the number one concern for most of the long term clients we spoke with.

Overall the rest of 2007 promises to be a good year, not only for fusionvoice but for our customers as well.
